Winter Solstice Gathering
Quiet, Community, and Reflection
The winter solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year, when the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky. Across cultures, it marks a turning point: a time to rest, reflect, and acknowledge the return of light that follows the deepening darkness. The solstice invites slowing down, honoring cycles, and reconnecting with community and inner landscape.
Join an intimate gathering designed to mark the winter solstice with simple, grounding practices that welcome stillness and shared presence. The evening moves at a gentle pace and is intended to be accessible.
Program
Opening circle: We begin with a brief welcome and introductions to co-create a container for our time together.
Herbal tea: Warm beverages will be available to support relaxation and coziness.
Community altar: Contribute a small, meaningful object or note to a communal altar if you’d like. This shared focal point honors what participants bring to the circle.
Slow mindful movement: An opportunity to move through a series of gently guided postures that emphasize rest rather than effort.
Guided meditation: A meditation follows to cultivate presence and connection.
Closing circle: We will close with an opportunity for participants to share reflections or insights from the experience.
